Baking with plums is a part of fall that I always look forward to.

A new necklaces or two isn't so bad either.

Back to the plums. When I first noticed the Italian Prunes in the grocery my mind started racing! Think of  all the wonderful things that you can do with plums. Stewed plums and Greek yogurt, plum pie, plum kuchen. The latter won. And Charlie was very pleased when I walked thru the door with 3 pounds of plums.
So pleased in fact that he tried to steal one. Anyway, here is the making of the Plum Kuchen.

Charlie was a little upset. He didn't manage to steal a plum. :( Poor little buddy.

Charlie has decided that his first brush with fame wasn't enough. So he decided to enter a contest. Check him out!

This post has turned into a totally disaster! I started working on it weeks and weeks ago and for some sad reason I have been totally unable to get a handle on how to control where the text and images go! Some images are right aligned, some left and others centered. To top it all off this text was also showing up here there and everywhere! This is the best I can do. (and I'm not even going to try and add descriptions to the photos) So before I change my mind and spend another 3 weeks trying to do better, here you go. My house.

Happy Birthday Buddy! Maybe you should have taken it easy on the Birthday treats. That fat belly has immobilized you :)

Fancy Pants

Charlie is a very fancy jumper. He is also a bit or a risk taker, he really prefers to land his jumps as close to the edge of the counter as possible. As you can see from the above photo his little front paws are barely hitting the edge!

The flip side to his "living on the edge" tendencies is that he often crashes. With claws drawn and paws flying he tries to hang on to the granite. Knocking over glasses and bringing everything in his reach crashing to the ground. Poor guy. But, it is all very funny for me to watch.

Who Would Have Thunk It?

According to the article that I just read tuxedo cats (which my lovely cat Charlie happens to be) are 200% smarter than other cats and their owners are way way better looking.

I'm just stating facts, so don't hate on me.

As you can see here Charlie is soooo smart that he will jump into my arms for a treat. Very smart indeed. I probably shouldn't mention that it takes a good 5 minutes of coaxing to get him to agree to expend that much energy.
